My only question would be to ask why you are putting the dog yard far from your dwelling (at least that's what it looks like from over here in the USA)? Have had doggums from 6 months to ?? many decades later and prefer a yard by the door to the house in case deer/skunk/porcupines or whatever are on the move. Just curious. 🐕🐕

The first thing I learned is never take a lawn from a) a complainy person, b) that have major hills, creeks, low hanging trees or ditches and c) that require me to walk (push mow) or use a mower smaller than 48 inches. Gotta ride, stand on or sulky those lawns. There's enough walking weed wacking and blowing off. 👍

Interesting that Ozito got a mention on the battery tools. I thought about mentioning it but didn't know if that was too cheap for you. Those are what I use on my mowers for the simple fact of they are cheap, I'm not skilled, and if they break I don't care as much. But I haven't destroyed the drill or impact in a few years. Also picked up the hedge trimmer skin 2nd hand cheap just cause I'm in the ecosystem and they don't totally suck. And I mean... you have the mower and battery already out of your own pocket.

Thanks for the video. Just got the Ryobi with the trimmer and edger. It has a self feeding line and is feeding way too much much. I will go about 20 feet and have about a foot of line and have to rewind. Thanks in advance

Most of my tools are Makita or Bosch but on occasion, I've needed something for a one off job. I didn't want to pay top price for something I needed once so I bought Ozito. They've got a five year warranty and Bunnings has an excellent returns policy. They felt light but after doing the job, I took a critical look at them. First thing I noticed they seemed to be well thought out and built. Still have them ten years later and I use them as decoys for when someone wants to borrow something. If someone doesn't have the budget and not much work, I think they are just tickety boo for the task. That said, I won't be buying Makita anymore. They've gone downhill since they moved their operation from Mexico to China.

I'd guess that both the Luba 2 and the GOAT G1 should be able to cut the entire yard. So it'd be great if you can setup the map to cover your entire yard so it's easier to see if it'll handle all the various things in your yard. Run them on alternate days and you'll be able to do more side-by-side comparison between the GOAT and the Luba 2 because they are covering the same area.

Just a clarification on my reply to your question, Tim. The total time I stated for the pruner use includes the clean up of the mess I made. The actual run time on the pruner was 15-20 minutes. Still, very impressed with this little tool. 🥴❤

Hey guys, excellent podcast, I love the randomness of topics and questions, just makes it more authentic and real as a live show, not gonna lie was shattered I didn't get to participate in the full live show, had my morning walk with my Mum and Aunty followed by coffee at a local Cafe, got alot of people's attention wondering what I was watching 😂 my Aunty thought it was weird I was watching 2 fellas talking about lawn care and tools whilst having a convo with her and mum. 😅 I call it multitasking lol Loved what u done with the storage solutions regarding the whipper snippers and mowers, saw that video on Facebook and commented under Milan Allen lol Milans my middle name 😆 I'm starting to get in to lawn and garden maintenance now to help my parents out with their place as my father who's 81 now has dementia and can no longer do much, so your videos give me inspiration, ideas and tips which is so very helpful. Another great podcast, watched the live last night and decided to watch again. Just purchased my first battery tools, Kebtek pruners and 6" Kebtek mini chainsaw. Thank you for reviewing these tools (maybe not this brand) and giving valuable info on what to look for and what to avoid. I chose the Kebtek mostly because they felt best in my hand, very comfortable to grasp and not too heavy. And I have small hands and didn't want to struggle using either of these. It was also that they both came in a kit with 2 batteries, charger, tool kit, oil, safety glasses, gloves, and skin in a nice storage case. I also got extra oil which you mentioned in one of your videos. Price was 184.00 US for both together. Love your podcasts and I personally enjoy the all over the shop way you two talk. Thank you.🥰❤

This is the second time I've watched this video. I first watched it for tips on which one to buy and it seems I ended up getting the Ryobi you were using (or close enough) but I'm only 5'1" tall. Its the same height as I am which I'm finding difficult as the power lever is so high up for me. I have to hold it in a really odd position. All the same I'm now starting to edge with it. So far I've left a good 1cm gapping hole but I'm sure over time I will get better. Its the moving while keeping it still that I'm having issues with but I'll see if I can find different ways of holding it.
